PBIS
PBIS - What is it?
Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS) is a system approach that allows schools to improve school safety and promote positive behavior. It also provides the framework for schools to decide how to respond to a student in a positve manner who misbehaves.
- PBIS requires effort from all staff members
- Behavior expectations must be explicitly taught
- Appropriate behavior must be acknowledged
- Consistent use of school’s discipline procedures

- I will show self-control by keeping my hands, feet, and objects to myself.
- I will be on task by being prepared and ready to learn at all times.
