Principal's Message

Welcome to Annie R. Mitchell. This is going to be an exciting year for all of us. Named after Annie R. Mitchell, a dedicated Visalia educator and humanitarian, we continue to strive to honor her name. Using Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Systems (PBIS), students and staff are building a community of excellence and you will see us SOAR.

Through exploration with project based learning, technology and problem solving, we prepare our students for college and career skills. We offer many extra-curricular opportunities such as Science Olympiad, Growbotics (gardening and robotics), drama club, Bible Club and more.

We have established commonalities and high expectations across campus here at Annie R. Mitchell: 

Tell more; answer in complete sentences; speak in positive phrases; always give more details; and use academic phrasing.

Our staff is made up of many talented folks who continue to develop teaching strategies to enhance your child’s/children learning. Through Visalia Unified School District’s efforts, staff are trained monthly on best practices.
